Hi Michael,
   Thanks for your response. I am definitely interested to contribute
to Xerces in any way possible. Working on XML Schema 1.1 would be
great I feel.

I would download the XML Schema 1.1 code, from the location below and
would try to implement something.

Would let the list know when I have gathered something useful.
