Apparently I did it once long ago (I don't remember the details), but wouldn't
have had anything to do with the metadata that's there, assuming there is any.
It isn't part of our release process. Would be nice if it were just automatic
or if a PMC which doesn't have Maven in their build process could give blanket
approval to the repository folks for publishing released jars.
