I think, there would be nothing better than Oracle again adopting the XML Schema 1.1 code base of Xerces. The one issue I think is, that how should Oracle take the Xerces's XPath 2.0 code base (which is currently owned by Eclipse Foundation). Who's going to initiate conversation with Oracle?
