What about creating a Multi-Release Jar ?

This will allow to keep the same jar for Java 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, ... until last one.

If only XJavac is different, it will have only one class duplicated for Java9 
and laters. This will allow to keep the same jar for all Java releases, and 
will open an opportunity to create a Java9+ compliant module, with a module 
name...
