Works with business Analyst/Project Lead in the design and implementation of market data-related solutions. Helps in identify gaps and areas for improvement to enhance the state of current processes. Diagnosis solves and communicates production issues to ensure a timely recovery and minimal impact to our business users. Analyzes requirements, designs solutions, and tests code prior to releases in order to maintain the integrity of our systems as well as the stability and reliability of supported processes. Abides to industry best practices and change management procedures when implementing changes to new or existing code. Produces technical design documentation based on thorough understanding of business requirements. Competencies: Must have expertise with all tiers of Java; Extensive experience with JSP/Stuts, Weblogic and Core Java. Must have a solid knowledge of relational database design, Oracle and/or Sybase. Must have experience with analysis, design/development of investment applications and processes Must have problem solving/customer service oriented skills Prefer advanced oral/written communication skills (technical and non-technical) Prefer experience in an Asset Management Firm (fixed income) Prefer EJB and Swing skills Desire experience/familiarity with Market Data providers, systems and feeds Academic Qualifications Undergraduate degree in computer Science or related field Email resume in Word to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please include the job code for the position with your resume.
