- *Position: Active Directory Consultant* - *Location: Norfolk, VA* - *Required: -1-* - *Duration: 6+ Months* - *Rate: Open* - *Due By: Immediate* - *Start: ASAP* * * *Notes: (CANDIDATES MUST HAVE PERFECT COMMUNICATION SKILLS; they will be the main person on these projects)* * * *Client is in the midst of an Enterprise Wide Microsoft Active Directory redesign and is looking for a technical resource to design, implement and potentially manage the endeavor. * * * *The work will be performed at the Norfolk Virginia Site. * * * *Have In Place:* * * · *150 Microsoft Servers* · *50 Domain Controllers across numerous locations* · *1 Forest, 3-5 Domains* · *1000 +/- Domain Users and Desktops* · *1 Exchange Domain that will remain separate* * * *The current environment is a single forest multiple domains AD design with over 50 DC's. It was designed in 2005 to support sales offices throughout the country where sales representatives would authenticate to the DC (or nearest DC) to their sales office. In 2009 we are planning to close numerous sales offices and have those sales representatives work from their home. They will connect via a **Cisco VPN** client to our **WAN** and authenticate at one of the DC's in our Atlanta area data center. We realize that this business change will have a significant impact on our AD design and the ability for sales representatives to get authenticated and to get GPO's from a DC. We're looking for a redesign of our AD to best support these sales representatives and our other functions throughout the country.* * * *Implementation Phase:* * * · *Assistance in Restructuring their existing Active Directory OU environment* · *Assistance to outline a migration methodology and project plan* · *Assistance in Implementing the NEW AD Design.
