A BA investigates, designs, and facilitates the application of technology in support of business objectives and processes. Candidates must be able to communicate with business owners, users and technology professionals with equal ease to create and preserve the functional integrity of the solution. Incumbents must have complete familiarity with the technologies and applications available to ATC, and a deep understanding of the businesses they support. This role serves as facilitator, analyst, designer and problem solver. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to operate in a team environment are essential, as are outstanding documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. *** *Very solid SQL skills are needed for this position; person should be able to fetch data from data marts / warehouse with ease. * *Payment industry knowledge is a plus for this position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): • Work closely and interact directly with business owners and technology staff to identify, rationalize and document business requirements; then design and document practical, useful, and cost effective solutions in the form of functional specifications which become the basis for development and testing. • Conduct analysis that identifies current and future state business processes. • Make process improvement and systems enhancement recommendations, leveraging best practices and professional experience. • Obtain and maintain a deep understanding of applications, customers and business processes within the areas they support. • Maintain high levels of customer service at all times. • Conduct application design sessions and moderate other discussions as necessary. • Work with project managers to communicate project status and issues to business owners. • Work with resource managers to manage individual work load and assist with defining and prioritizing project tasks. • Work effectively on multiple assignments, activities or projects. • Collaborate closely with and assist application development teams when required to ensure the functional integrity of project deliverables. • Work with project teams to develop detailed specifications for application functionality. • Serve as the functionality expert while actively participating in testing, training, and user documentation development. • Assist other Business Analysts as needed or required. • Work with BA group leaders to assemble and maintain a library of model documents, templates, best practices, and other re-usable knowledge assets.
