Senior Mainframe Developer Looking for an individual who will be responsible for supporting the existing mainframe application, Financial Consultant Inquiry and Management Information Database. The application manages a data store required by Private Investment Management (PIM) applications. The infrastructure was designed as PIM main data store. The purpose of this data store is to summarize the PIM account data at various time series for reporting requirements, and to store the summarized data in enterprise data model for greater transparency and data control. We are also planning to convert this application from Mainframe to a Distributed Platform in the near future.
Specific Responsibilities: · Design, develop and maintain existing Mainframe application. · Understand requirements and communicate them efficiently. · Working closely with team members. · Interface with various Barclays Wealth IT teams and business end users. · Participate in the conversion of the application from Mainframe to a distributed platform. Essential Requirements: · Graduate Degree and minimum 5 or more years of experience including design, development, implementation and maintenance of projects using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM. · 3+ years of programming experience in a Mainframe environment. · Experience with SAS and Endevor. · Knowledge of SQL, Unix/Linux, Autosys , Perl etc · Team player and proven ability to work under pressure and meet project dates. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with others. · Experience in ETL-Informatica is a plus. · Financial business knowledge is a plus.
