Works collaboratively with the Application team, including architects, developers and testers, to ensure project success. Collaborates with the Application Project manager to plan and manage the project activities and deliverables. Coaches less experienced team members. Participates in discussion with customers and peers to collect and analyze data requirements. Participates in solution development for projects. Participates in client meetings and presentations. Assists Data Architect or Team Leader to develop solutions by documenting components of the solution, defining deliverables and preparing estimates. Plans and Leads database development and maintenance of databases including: Design database environments and databases Design, develop, modify, test, release/deploy and maintain database objects Design database objects and supervise develop, modify, test, release/deploy and maintain by other DBAs Design, develop, modify, test, release/deploy and maintain database security and audit solutions Design, develop, modify, test, release/deploy and maintain database recovery solutions Manage database performance, capacity and availability Utilizing best practices, work plans, checklists and defined processes. Proactively supports application teams. Performs SQL tuning. Provides advice on application data issues. Participates in project technical reviews. Leads work product reviews. Develops and maintains database support documentation. Designs database monitoring solutions and assists others in monitoring and proactively anticipating or identifying issues. Takes ownership of complex database incidents and problems and provides resolutions in a timely manner. Engages SMEs or vendors to provide assistance to resolve more complex incidents as required. Produce and maintain logical and physical data models for databases and projects. Participates in the development and maintenance of enterprise data models for less complex enterprises. Participates in formal Data Modeling Reviews. May lead reviews of simple data models. Assist business and technical personnel in data analysis activities including using SQL queries. Performs Model Conversion (data mapping) to produce a data dictionary and data mapping matrix between the external software and the internal database for business function replacement. Performs in data quality analysis / data profiling, to produce a data quality assessment (and baseline). Requirements 5+ yeas of recent experience with PL/SQL development with Oracle 10g or 11g. Must be able to manage schemas, create DDLs, optimize and develop complex queries and execute deployments to various environments. 3+ years of progressive experience in data architecture, logical and physical relational database modeling and design, metadata management, operational database Experience with Oracle Database Administration to assist with routine DBA activities including RMAN, monitoring and maintenance.
