Role : Sr Business Systems Analyst – HRMS Location : Glendale, CA Duration : 04+ months. Rate : Open *JOB DESCRIPTION* *This role includes the following set of responsibilities:* • Analyze complex business problems and assess how existing systems can be modified, or new automated systems implemented, in order to solve them • Provide first level Production Support for *Oracle HRMS Application & Discoverer* • Create requirements documents for projects through facilitation with key project stakeholders and sponsors • Develop and execute test plans/scripts and facilitate user acceptance testing process • Document Change Requests associated with bug fixes, improved functionality, or new applications • Ensure application prototypes align with business requirements and user acceptance • Ensure applications are maintained and upgraded in a timely and appropriate manner to protect company investment. • Gather business/user needs in consultation with business managers and end users to help identify business problems and propose solutions • Understand the Systems Development Lifecycle and work within a defined Project Methodology • Work with developers to translate requirements into technical specifications • Create Solution Design documentation to capture specifications, features/functionality, and operational details • Formulate the objectives and define the scope of new business systems • Lead the solution design of new applications and enhancements. • Should be experienced in project management and working across IT disciplines • Define Risk Mitigation Strategies to minimize the impact to a Project by a given risk • Facilitate meetings, including Requirements Gathering Sessions, Solution Design Meetings, and Project Status Meetings • Acts a team leader for projects, or a portion of a project, with small budgets and/or shorter durations • Manage day-to-day activities on small projects *Skills:* • *Knowledge of Oracle HRMS* include Employee Self-Service required, *minimum 3 years’ experience* • *Knowledge of Oracle Time and Labor* • Ability to analyze data, major tables, and views used by *Oracle HRMS* application. • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities are required. • Working knowledge of *MS-Office, Visio, Project* • Working knowledge of core business applications/development environments, which may include ERP, BI or other business systems • Ability to map technology back to business requirements to create a solution design. • HTML • SQL / Toad Experience • Ability to provide input regarding prioritization of work • Must be able to work with and effectively communicate to all levels of management • Understanding of technology and technology direction. • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to organize and disseminate information efficiently.
