Our client has an opening for a* Project Manager in Houston, TX*. Please reply with your best Consultants. *Title: * Project Manager *Location : *Houston, TX *Contract : *6-12 months *Must haves:* · Running projects using formal SDLC processes, tools and artifacts is a must-have. · Experience in delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects is required. · Working with on-shore/off-shore team environment is required. · Working in .NET App Development environment · Seeking mid to sr. level project managers to manage IT application development projects. · Experience leading and managing large-scale, complex, cross-functional IT projects is required. · Experience with formal delivery methodologies SDLC is required (Waterfall, Agile, etc). · Must be proficient in use of PM tools such as MS Project, Risk/Issues Logging, Status · Reporting tools and templates. · Ability to track and manage project budgets (actuals, forecasts, etc) is required. · Must have strong leadership skills and self-motivation; must be proactive in managing projects an · resources. · Must have excellent communication skills - presentation, written, and verbal. Must have strong · relationship building skills. · Prefer experience in managing both onshore/offshore project team members. *Responsibility:* · Responsible for managing one or more cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity. · Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts. · Utilizes published project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on · time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. · Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work · efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, · quality, timeline issues appropriately. · Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the · needs of customers. · Responsible for tracking project financials using Earned Value Metrics. · Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and · resources of the work effort being managed. · Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and · tools, resource management practices and change management techniques. · Must have extensive expertise in the use of Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio. *Required: * · Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or Management Information Systems PLUS 6+ years of IT work · experience specifically in project management. · Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management · curriculum is required. · Required to have experience with large, complex projects in multiple technologies and functions.
