[jabberd2] starttls issues

when i require starttls with:

    <id realm=''
        register-enable='false'
        password-change='false'
        pemfile='/etc/apache2/ssl/apache.pem'
        require-starttls='true'>domain.tld</id>

i get:

Thu May  8 11:53:47 2008 [notice] [7] got pre STARTTLS packet, dropping
Thu May  8 11:53:47 2008 [notice] [7] [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, port=61717] disconnect 
jid=unbound, packets: 1

(tried with kopete and psi)

but i can login without problems in plain text mode (without 
require-starttls='true').

any clue what's wrong ? using 2.1.24.1.
