Hi again, since there was only one reply to my question, perhaps there are not so strong feelings for or against the switch?
I am inclined to go on with the switch, and Kolja has offered to handle the conversion of our existing SVN repository, so we will have the entire history of the JabRef code available in the Git repository. To ease the transition we will make a howto for doing the same operations with Git as contributors have done with SVN up to now. Does anyone have strong feelings against this switch?
