I would also appreciate better biblatex support in JabRef. Just some minor

Yes, there is indeed.

I think Tobias meant something different. The date field in biblatex has the 
format YYYY-MM-DD. It would be nice to have the year in the table view 
automatically using the YYYY part of the date field.
