What is your purpose to export to simple html? If you write an article or a 
thesis, LyX (http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/HumanitiesLyX) and Jurabib (which is said 
to support the MHRA style, see http://wiki.lyx.org/BibTeX.JurabibMHRA) might be 
a solution. You can even produce a stand-alone bibliography by using a document 
processor, of course.
