Hi,
did you previously choose the Endnote format in the file dialog when
importing? "Importing unknown format" means that you have selected "All
files" and that JabRef will search for the correct format. This normally
works, but try to choose the correct format as file type and see if that
helps.
To get further help, you will have to give an example of a file that you
want to import, so we can try to reproduce and investigate the error.
