The ≥ is a special (unicode?) character.  You will likely be able to
replace it with \geq which is the greater-than-or-equal symbol.

Hope this helps.  If that does not work let us know.  There are some
instances where you have to do fancy things like put it in a math
context (which requires bracketing the equations and/or symbols with a 
$ )
