Me and our working group are using JabRef since several years now.
Thanks for the great software!

I think it is time we give something in return, so I have started to
write a patch to JabRef that is to solve this bug

and to add the feature to allow to specify the save (and export) order
of the entries, as it is possible to specify the table sort order. You
can find what I have done so far here:

I have a few small issues that I would like to discuss with the other
developers. What is the best way to contact the developers? There does
not seem to be a developer's mailing list, is there?
Furthermore, how should I send you the patch? Via the sourceforge patch
tracker, or better via a pull request in my git fork?
