huh? Using JabRef-2.9.2 for the following entry:

@ARTICLE{Vrugt2006APC,
    author =3D {Vrugt, J.A. and {\'O} Nuall{\'a}in, B. and Robinson,
                    B.A. and Bouten, W. and Dekker, S.C. and Sloot, P.},
    title =3D {Application of parallel computing to stochastic parameter
                    estimation in environmental models},
    journal =3D {Computers \& geosciences},
    year =3D {2006},
    volume =3D {32},
    pages =3D {1139--1155},
    number =3D {8},
    file =3D {:Vrugt2006APC.pdf:PDF},
    publisher =3D {Elsevier}
}

In the citation preview window I get:

    Article (Vrugt2006APC)
    Vrugt, J.; =C3=93 Nuall=C3=A1in, B.; Robinson, B.; Bouten, W.;
Dekker,=
  S. &=20
Sloot, P.
    Application of parallel computing to stochastic parameter
estimation=20
in environmental models
    Computers & geosciences, Elsevier, 2006, 32, 1139-1155

So the O and the a have accents.

What version of JabRef are you using? and why is this not what you=20
want?
