Hi,

how do you generate your key? Just for reference for the interested readers.

I think, you mean that the current suffixes "a".."z" should be
replaced by numbers? (Meaning, if a paper exists with AAA09, a new
entry with AAA090 should be generated. If that exists, a paper of
AAA091 should be generated. Etc.

I assume that this is too complex for your regex replacement
