Dear Oliver,

Sorry, I just found a way to run "java -jar JabRef-2.11.jar --prdef all -n"
with powershell in the JabRef folder:
- Press Windows logo in the lower left corner
- type "Powershell"
- click "Windows Powershell"
- type cd C:\Program Files (x86)\JabRef (enter)
- type " java -jar JabRef-2.11.jar --prdef all -n" (enter)
Restart JabRef. For me this worked.

Thanks!

Roel

. I now restarted JabRef and it edits my

Dear Oliver,

Thanks for quick reply. No, sorry, I was not aware of steps that needed to be
done in advance, and only just subscribed to the mailing list, so I did not
read about these issues earlier.

I had 2.10 installed, running without problems, downloaded
JabRef-2.11-setup.exe and executed it. I just exported my prefs and attached
these in the file with this mail. Where does Jabref store it's preferences, so
that I can delete these?

Roel

Dear Roel,

May I ask if you followed the steps in the announcement?

--cut--
f you are going to try this version, please save your preferences:
Options -> Preferences -> Export preferences.
If JabRef does not start, you can send us your preferences and we can
investigate that issue. In case you are not relying on your preferences, you
can reset them by starting JabRef with java -jar JabRef-2.11.jar --prdef all
-n. Issues reported and resolved by resetting the preferences:
https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/issues/149,
https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/issues/174, and
https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/issues/282.
--end--

Meaning: Did you export your preferences and reset them for testing?

We really would like to see preferences JabRef cannot deal with...

Cheers,

Oliver
