Early drafts of the JCR specification specified that repositories should
support "hard links", which woud lead to the situation, that items might have
multiple parent nodes. In the meantime hard links have been removed from the
spec and are unlikely to be re-added in future revisions.
Nevertheless, Jackrabbit still contains some references to supporting this
mechanism (e.g. the NodeState.parentUUIDs field), which should be removed.
