implementation independent repository lookup

Hi

I would like to test various JCR implementations (Jackrabbit, eXo JCR, 
Jeiceira, ...) with a specific application and hence would like to have

bindRepository()
getRepository()

independent of the implementation.

Any pointers are very welcome.
