In honor of just-starting Hactoberfest 2019, I went ahead and: 1. Added label `new-contributor-friendly` (after some soul-searching chose this one over myriad of possibilities) in couple of repos (for yaml, java 8 date/times for first), and tagged couple of issues (java 8 had "easy", renamed that label) 2. Created wiki page: https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson/wiki/Issues-For-New-Contributors from which to try to link this (manual process so no doubt will get out of sync) 3. Added link from main Jackson github repo's README
Now: I will do my best to try to populate this page, similar to my own "todo list" (https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-future-ideas/wiki/Jackson-Work-in-Progress). But realistically my effort will not be enough so... I was hoping that others would pitch in. I will make sure that Wiki on `jackson-future-ideas` is open (or if that fails, will create Team with access, and add everyone who asks to join), and ask anyone who has any interest in helping get more contributors to sign up help me. Let me know when you find an issue in repo that does not yet have the label (I'll it over time but right now don't have time to). Also, helpful automation hints, suggestions are welcome too. -+ Tatu +- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jackson-dev" group.
