Hi,

interesting: I do create custom Eclipse IDE packages with the p2 director the exact same way than you do -- including EclEmma. It works smoothly since years.

I really wonder how you can get a "Missing requirement" error after you installed EclEmma with p2 director. Something seems to mess up the installation afterwards. How do you install your Eclipse base and other plugins? Also with p2 director?

Hi there!

MY PROBLEM
==========
I haven't been able to install the EclEmma Java Code Coverage 2.3.2
into Eclipse Luna yet.

WHAT I DID SO FAR
=================
I tried all 3 possible ways decribed here

  http://www.eclemma.org/installation.html

plus the installation via calling the p2.director

/d/e/builder/eclipse-standard-luna-SR1a/eclipsec.exe -vm
/r/ref/jdk_7/bin/java -nosplash -application
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director -destination
/d/e/eclipse-standard-luna-SR1a-win32-x86_64/eclipse/ -bundlepool
/d/e/eclipse-standard-luna-SR1a-win32-x86_64/eclipse/ -profile
SDKProfile  -profileProperties
org.eclipse.update.install.features=true -p2.os win32 -p2.ws win32
-p2.arch x86_64 -roaming -repository
http://update.eclemma.org,http://download.eclipse.org/releases/kepler,http://download.eclipse.org/releases/luna
 -installIU com.mountainminds.eclemma.feature.feature.group

to install

   EclEmma Java Code Coverage 2.3.2

into a fresh installation of

   Eclipse 4.4 Luna SR1
   and
   Eclipse 4.4.1 Luna SR1a

There's no installation error occuring in the installation log.
After starting Eclipse it says in

   Help > About Eclipse > Installation Details > Installed Software

that EclEmma is installed correctly. But no button is shown in the
launch toolbar section beside debug and run button. In

   Window > Customize Perspective > Command Groups Availability

there no option "Java Code Coverage" as described on the EclEmma FAQ
page at http://www.eclemma.org/faq.html#trouble04

POSSIBLE HINTS
==============

Sometimes it worked when I started Eclipse, deinstalled the EclEmma
plugin and installed it again via

Help > Install New Software...
Work with: http://update.eclemma.org/
[x] EclEmma

But other times everything looks the same, EclEmma seemed to be
installed correctly but doesn't appear in the toolbar. Furthermore I
had some cases where it could not be installed. In those cases I got
at least some error message saying

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could
not be found.
  Software being installed: EclEmma Java Code Coverage
2.3.2.201409141915 (com.mountainminds.eclemma.feature.feature.group
2.3.2.201409141915)
  Missing requirement: EclEmma Java Code Coverage 2.3.2.201409141915
(com.mountainminds.eclemma.feature.feature.group 2.3.2.201409141915)
requires 'org.eclipse.jdt.feature.group 3.5.0' but it could not be
found

The JDT feature is installed. Not in version 3.5.0 but in
3.10.0.v20140925-0400 which should be alright.

In the beginning I assumed it could have been the proxy server of my
company that blocks a certain URL needed for the installation process.
But downloading eclemma-2.3.2.zip from
http://www.eclemma.org/download.html and extracting it into

<my eclipse installation>/dropins/eclemma-2.3.2/

lead to the same unsatisfying result. So it can't be my local internet
or proxy settings.

QUESTION
========
Did anybody run into the same problem? I spent a lot of time already
trying to find a solution, googled half of the internet, but still got
no success. Still hoping for any stupid mistake I made - cause
obviously I'm the only one facing this problem. :)
