Hi,

I have been trying to get the UART output but according to the documentation I
need the command 'vbetool' , I have been trying for very long to get this
command installed but it has not been possible so far. Libx86.a is incompatible
it says when I make the vbetool. Then I tried to make libx86 rather than just
downloading but the source codes have errors , I reduced the errors to 2 of
them which are :
lrmi.c:399: Error: operand size mismatch for `out'
lrmi.c:367: Error: operand size mismatch

From here I am unsure of how to solve the problem.
I don't think you want this for serial console. For VGA, yes, but not for serial.

What you want is either a board with a serial port/serial port header, or PCI expansion card with serial port on it. Then you just plug a null modem cable and run minicom or alike on another side. For that part, I use a Linux laptop. They don't have serial port these days, but any USB-to-serial converter will do the trick. For a garage style, you can solder one from a decade old cellular phone data cable. :)

Once you get through this, please post what you see in minicom here.

Setting up VGA console may be easier though. I haven't tried it myself, but I guess you may just install it from the distro's package manager.

Hi,

While starting jailhouse, the kernel panic messages are no longer appearing as well as
"<task>:<pid> took more than 120 seconds", both of these errors are now gone after I
properly loaded the jailhouse kernel module(jailhouse.ko) now I am getting this error: "rcu_sched detected
stalls on CPUs/tasks", this error keeps coming up again and again and eventually freezes, good thing is
there are no kernel panics but however with this error I think the system has frozen and I need to reboot every
time to start over. One solution I can think of is to disable SMP in the GRUB configuration, I'll try that out
meanwhile you can kindly let me know if you have any suggestions on this matter. I have attached a screenshot
of the error I just described.

As I said before:

Please post the output of the serial console that Jailhouse reports to.
