3 Gig is... a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if there are limitations not only in our loader (never tested) but even in Linux, its boot protocol or who knows. Why do you need 3 GB? That's a full distro with desktop and all the stuff. Can't you let one cell (typically root) provide that via NFS or something similar?
