Any pointers would be appreciated. Maybe you got hit by a server updating the package database while you installed. Somewhere inbetween the last "apt-get update" and your "apt-get install". Try building again with a fresh output directory and see if you can reproduce the issue. Are you doing incremental builds? So you build today and "git pull" on jailhouse-images days later, and then just re-build on the last outdir.
