I ran it successfully on that board years ago. There was some
collaboration with NXP at the time and the files you seen in the tree
have been contributed by NXP.

So support is present and good. However DPAA can not be partitioned so
you get say ... 4 totally independent NICs with cells that do not need
to trust each other. But a cooperative sharing is possible. Like a root
cell gets DPAA and a non-root gets a vNIC that is bridged to a DPAA
port in the root cell.

So both have network. But root-cell can see traffic of non-root and has
to be running to forward it.
