certain freedoms can be taken away ... quite easily in case of LGPL today. If 
you follow directions of GNU exactly they can easily remove all your freedoms 
by redefining a future version of GPL. Thats almost as likely as the evil 
APache corp arising of course ...

I heard that the Glibc maintainer recently went through and removed all such 
wording though so it is possible to minimize threat ...
