Ah, the Dark Side. I hope I never go there.

I have some stuff in C, but I don't like it. Every typo is valid C,
to quote William welch.

I have programmed lots of code in JAL. I know JAL very well. I like JAL.

C had some beauty in the first versions, but it is badly suited for
PICs. Also, it is very old.

But to tell the truth: I will co-develop above program with another
guy and HE will write in C. This is for all kinds of weird (business)
reasons, but the best one is that software is easily written, but
very hard to read. You can't transfer the knowledge of a cumputer
program by mailing the source to someone. So in order to truly
transfer the knowledge, he has to write it from scratch.

For a bunch of other weird reasons, the hardware for this project is
already set. So yes, I have to write a JAL program for a board that I
did not design and for which I don't have the schematics!

Since it has a 64 pin PIC18F4620 and some 100 other SMD parts, this
will be tough. I did crack the passive LCD control, though, which was
far from easy.
