There may be an issue with the specification of RAM in the current device files (rev 591). There are some PICs with ONLY shared memory. Because the compiler requires unshared memory for variable allocation for these PICs all RAM is specified as unshared (after a discussion with Kyle). But is seems that _pic_accum MUST be allocated in shared memory. This could be solved by a splitted RAM specification: a few bytes really shared (for _pic_isr_w and _pic_accum) and the rest as unshared for variable allocation (even though this is in reality shared memory).
