Greetings,

I've got an application that needs the UART running at 115200 baud,
and will have FTDI F232 chip (USB 'comm port') on the same PCB as the
picmicro cpu.

The serial_hw_int_cts.jal library looks very nice, but is overkill for
my needs.

For this application, I don't need, or desire, the CTS or 'wedge'
features. I would sleep better if the receive interrupt routine was
streamlined, similar to the transmit interrupt routine.

My plan is to start with serial_hw_int_cts.jal and remove everything
that isn't essential for my needs. Once it is working and tested,
I'll be happy to offer it back to JALLIB, renamed as you see fit, but
if the group doesn't want or need another UART library, that is fine
-- I will submit it for consideration as 'sample code', with full
credits to the original authors, JALLIB, ZLIB license, etc.

I hope this is a fair and reasonable approach. If not, please advise
as to the best way to proceed.

Thank you,

William
