Your question was about manipulating individual bits of a variable, in particular the bits of the binary variable RTCCAL. I asked for an example where you need this, but your example is something completely different. I feel I was wasting my time by answering the wrong question. Are you sure this time that you want an answer on your this question? And why don't you _WANT_ to declare names for bits? If you have no good reason, then don't expect a good answer!
