I agree, it is unfortunate how many flavors of make are around. However, we can restrict ourselves to a severe subset of features, which is likely to work anywhere. I'm happy to help with this. Funny, this morning I was considering, for the Arduino, blink.jal to blink.pde (sketch file) translator. :-) I hope to work on blink-led demos for some ARM boards next.
