Hi Sunish, On my phone (samsung), the electronics is in phone, not the cable.
But there is something similar at: http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/EvaluationKits/TTL-232R.htm And I used http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/EvaluationKits/UB232R.htm Advantage of this over the db9-one is that the output is at 5v and connects to the pic without level conversion.
