Continuing with my GLCD stuff. I find that it is too much for one PIC
to handle a GLCD + my main program since screen refresh time is
important. This GLCD uses 21 pins. Anyways, an additional PIC is
cheap. So, I plan to make a dedicated LCD PIC that would take in a
command, then draw it on the screen. The built in controller can only
draw a pixel in any color, or read a pixel color.

Some commands that could be sent to this dedicated chip to do
something on the screen:
1. draw some text
2. draw a shape
3. draw a pattern
4. draw an image from a image already be stored on the dedicated PIC
5. draw an image from data sent from the master (slower)
6. draw a button
7. maybe some kind of GUI, Maybe also feed back info from the touch
screen (I haven't decided on this yet). May I can tell what button on
the screen was pressed and send it back to the master.

A good board for everyone would give an option to use either I2C,
Serial or SPI. SLIP may be good for packets.

Matt.
