That's one of the approaches I would like to try, but unfortunately I'm quite 
busy this week with other things. I'm sure I won't use a 32-bit-division 
generated by the compiler in the end, and I think I can go without 
multiplication, too.

And, even more, every project has its own demands :-) For an electronic 
calendar that has to display an other date every day, conversion time could be 
several seconds without affecting usability.
