ok thanks.
back on sd card, is there a way to read and write at the same time, I mean, do I have to stop_read/start_write and stop_write/start_read to switch between 2 modes, or is there something easier ? also, is it possible to partial partial sector ? (though I think I know the answer...)

Very good Seb, just remember not to allow SD chip select to go
inactive in the middle of a sector.

Hi guys,

I added an optional SPI EEPROM (SOIC package) to Jaluino Bee. It's also pin compatible with 23K256 SRAM, and also with a SST serial flash. So PCB would
work with an extra EEPROM, SRAM and Flash.

I added a 100nF decoupling cap. /WP (Write Protect) and /HOLD (pause) are tied to 3V3, so always enabled (so no write protect, and no hold/ pause) in order to save few pins. Solder jumper is here to choose the Chip- Select pin
depending on the PIC being used (25K22 or 27J53)

I perfer the RAM due to fast
read/write speeds, high endurance. Does
SST have any serial ram? What is the write speed of SST
flash?

I was about to write that... But then I realized that both chips were pin
compatible, so the PCB would work with ram or flash ;-)

Greets,
Kiste
