No, not with a different name.

I'll come up with a potential solution soon, including all suggestions that
have been made so far, particularly the 4 mode procedures. You will then
give your opinion. If you agree, great. If you don't, we'll then see if
we'll use the derivative work *instead* of original. There won't be two
versions of same files from functional point of view in jallib repository.
