Are you talking about serial_software.jal ? It's indeed more flexible regarding
transmission speeds than the serial_hardware family of libs, but the drawbacks
especially when receiving are significant.
And: The serial USART has a limited set of division options which affect the
effective baud rate, so there can be transmission speeds which will work on
4MHz and won't work on 10MHz. "Faster is better" is not always true here.
