So far I maintained the tools file 'pinmap.py' by manual editing.
From this file other info is derived, among which the pin aliases in
the device files: 'pinmap_pinsuffix.json'.
Maintenance of pinmap.py was mostly a matter of copying lines of a
similar PIC and modifying the contents with the info in the datasheet.
Not a big deal, but annoying work.
The MPLAB-X files from which the device files are now generated contain
also pinmapping. I managed to build a script to generate the file
pinmap.py from these files. This saves 'dumb' editing and reduces the
chance of errors (it may contain errors of Microchip!).
I'll add the script to the tools directory for the person(s) who will
take over my work for Jallib.
