Also the checkbox default in Preferences at line 231:
showDbRefTooltip.setSelected(Cache.getDefault("SHOW_DBREFS_TOOLTIP",
false));

Could the default setting for displaying sequence ID tooltip – show database
ref for when Jalview JS is launched be off.
Only for certain sequences the tooltip is masking all the information in the
sequences ID panel.
