I've carefully avoided talking about the Jalview applet in great detail. It's really of only historical interest since this *isn't* the applet. Saying 'it runs in JavaScript in your browser' says it all in my opinion. I do think it is important to explain the history of how JalviewJS has come about, though - but moved it to the bottom for Ben's tl;dr; revision. Bob - I have no idea how to get rid of the verbose log output. Obviously both the Desktop and Embedded pages need some work to make them more user-friendly - please fix everything up on the Jalview-JS/develop / demo branches. Jim.
