Ah! I see Jim got to this first. See my earlier message - I can confirm
again that Jalview works fine on 64 bit windows 7.

Hi Joel - sorry to hear you are having problems. As far as I know,
Jalview does install on windows 7 64-bit, but you may need to take the
'No Java VM' option when you use the installAnywhere installer.
Have you also tried the webstart version ? It's at
http://www.jalview.org/webstart/jalview.jnlp
