I dont know where the rumor started that has us all accept that MySQL has a
maximum field size of 1meg
in fact a LONGTEXT text field, or LONGBLOB Binary object field can store
4Gb. (more than enough for James' uses)
If people are having trouble using this, they should look to their config
and in particular the max_allowed_packet option which defaults at 64k per
connection, and is the input buffer.
