Hi, is anybody currently working on the IMAP code, or knows some internals about it ? I played around with it the last days, and got it to run, fixed a couple of the more obvious bugs. It even gives some reasonable answers and survives for some time with my mailclient.
As my company is looking for a IMAP server implementation, I would be willing to invest more time into this, if somebody here can show me around. I dont know nothing about James or Avalon, so forgive my ignorance. Problems as I see them now: - missing SEARCH command - different storage machanism than the rest of James - CommandFetch and CommandStore seem to be outdated (in need of a complete rewrite) - partial fetches What I would try to do next: - get the testcases up and running - implement some of the basic SEARCH attributes - work on CommandFetch (finish Darrells refactoring of the command processing) I understand the original author has vanished ? Is the current IMAP code very far behind the rest of James ? I mean, have there been architecture changes, which need to be incorporated ? (apart from the different mailbox storage). I heard some talk about Lucene and/or Tamino. greetings from a very hot and sunny day in Berlin, Marc -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
