Hi list FYI, and thanks to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for participating in my testings.
I have done the following testing with 3 different versions of "james" on the Netware6 - SP2 - JVM 1.4 My only interest in this test is the NNTP part of james! here is the testing results in short: james.2.0a2: - I can get it to startup fine on the server. - I can read the NewsGroups list out from the NNTP:119 - It seems like it posts but i'm not able to see the posting into the default news groups. the postings ends up in \james\apps\james\var\nntp\temp this regardles of what NNTP client i uses. james-2.0a3: - I can get it to startup fine on the server - I can read the NewsGroups list out from the NNTP:119 - It seems like it posts but i'm not able to see the posting into the default news groups. the postings ends up in \james\apps\james\var\nntp\temp this regardles of what NNTP client i uses. james-binary-2.1a1-cvs - I can get it to startup fine, and i can post to the news groups though OE behaves pretty wierd, as if the postings did expiere. my version of IE/OE is (5.50.4807.1700) - With NS7.0 and Morzilla 1.x it is a little like the same as with OE, it behaves very strange. - I'am able to use the Groupwise 6.02 NNTP client and i can then read/post e.t.c. fine. but i believe it has something to do with GW caching it to the GW databases.(not sure about that though :) I will continue my testing, and see how it goes...
