I stumbled across the following page, http://www.extundo.com/gnus-imap/buggy-imap-servers.html, which maintains a list of buggy IMAP servers. The nice thing is that he lists the specific bugs. Just some things for us to keep an eye on during development.
Harmeet, these are things that an IMAP test suite could check.
