I am willing to check in the bug fix for v2.1. That is independent of
whether or not NNTP is disabled by default. You told Nicola that the fix
was not effective for you. I have no way of testing it right now, so I must
accept that there may be some other issues to be fixed. Hence, rather than
delay the release of v2.1 for what is currently an experimental protocol, I
would simply mark the server as disabled in the config.xml, using the
attribute Danny conveniently provided for that purpose. Any user who wants
to use NNTP can turn it on. We are not moving or removing the code with
that change.
